Ilona is a production designer from Hungary, now based in Dublin. She recently graduated from IADT with a BA in Design for Film, where she spent four years developing her skills in research, drawing, technical drafting, storyboarding, and model making. During her time there, she also gained plenty of on-set experience through collaborative projects with the National Film School.
Ilona loves visual storytelling and the process of figuring out how a world should look and feel. She works comfortably between digital tools—like SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator—and hands-on making, using both to bring her ideas to life.
What draws her most to production design is building spaces that carry atmosphere and intention. She pays close attention to composition, texture, and the small details that help tell a story. Ilona enjoys exploring the line between the familiar and the slightly surreal, and she aims to create environments that feel immersive, thoughtful, and alive.
